He was right smack dab in the middle of this song's saga and the behind the scenes battle between ABC Records and RCA Records over who would prevail with the bigger hit with this record. Lindy worked for ABC Records from roughly 1972-1976 and wore a couple different titles. Lindy had a phone call with either Cory Wells or Danny Hutton indicating their unhappiness to know that RCA planned on releasing the BW Stevenson version and Lindy to him to hurry up and finish their version to get it released ASAP !! Lindy knows the whole story of this record and how RCA was going to release a BW "Buckwheat" Stevenson version when in fact ABC Records had a "freeze" with the song according to Lindy with 3 Dog Night, who had not finished recording it while busy and distracted touring. Lindy is one of the background vocalists here. How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala I can tell my sister by the flowers in her eyes She's on the road to Shambala I can tell my brother by the flowers in his eyes He's on the road to Shambala Ah, ooh ooh oo oo ooh ooh, yeah, yeah. I don't think Lindy knows this version is uploaded here. I just heard this version from a really old cassette tape owned by Albuquerque, New Mexico mid 1960s local rock and roll band legend Lindy Blaskey of Lindy Blaskey & The Lavells fame.
